Kevin John Peters is a sportscaster and reporter for ABC10 in Sacramento, CA. Before coming to Sacramento, Kevin was the sports director for Media Gateway in Little Rock, Arkansas and sports anchor and reporter for CBS-19 (KYTX) in Tyler, Texas.

Prior to working in journalism, Kevin worked for 11 years as a substitute teacher and high school track coach.

Kevin graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Morehouse College. Throughout his matriculation, Kevin was involved with speech, debate and theatre.

Kevin’s greatest joy in life doesn’t come from being in front of the camera, but from giving back. Kevin is a proud volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento. He has served as a Big Brother for over 12 years. In addition to that, Kevin serves in mentorship programs with his fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. He believes that investing in our youth is the best legacy one can leave behind. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys biking, hiking, and dancing to Michael Jackson.  He lives by this quote, “We are blessed to be a blessing.”
